  4. Introduction

  6.   Y'z Shadow is an enhancement software which adds a shadow effect to the windows
  7.   in pursuit of the "beauty of a shadow".
  8.   It also allows the user the option of making menus transparent.
  9.  
  10.   This software is free.
  11.  
  12. The main features
  13.  
  14.     - Attaches a drop shadow to the windows.
  15.     - Makes it possible to select one type of shadow effect in the active window 
  16.       and a different one in the inactive window.

  18.     - The user can choose to have transparent menus. There is also the option of 
  19.       selecting the degree of transparency in the menus.
  20.     - Add a drop shadow to the menus.
  21.     - Add a drop shadow to the taskbar.
  22.     - The width, depth, etc. of the drop shadows can all be set to your liking in 
  23.       the settings dialog.
  24.     - It works correctly with either WindowsXP styles or classic style.
  25.     - The user can specify application windows that you wish to exclude from having 
  26.       the drop shadow effect.
  27.     - The user can choose a setting that will automatically adjust your windows so 
  28.       they do not overlap or interfere with the taskbar.
  29.     - Available in different languages (Japanese and English).

  31. Requirements

  33.     OS: Windows XP Professional or Home Edition
  34.         Please use 16 bits (65536 colors) of screen color depth or higher.

  36.     Caution: This software does not work in Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000.

  38. The installation method
  39.  
  40.     Please extract the contents of the archive to a selected folder.
  41.     (For example, C:\Program Files\YzShadow)

  43. The uninstallation method

  45.     Just delete the whole folder where you extracted Y'z Shadow.
  46.     (This software does not add any keys to the registry)

  50.     The author (M.Yamaguchi) owns the full copyright to Y'z Shadow.
  51.     I choose to allow the use, reproduction, and distribution of this software 
  52.     in a free manner, but only under the assumption that the contents of this 
  53.     archive are not changed or altered in any way, and it's contents are intact.

  55.     The author assumes no responsibility, or gives any sort of guarantees for

  58. About translation and redistribution of .lang file
  59.  
  60.     - Translation should be accurate to the original.
  61.     - Any bitmap changed in the .lang file should be accurate to the original
  62.       bitmaps.
  63.     - The name (title) of the .lang file has to be in English.
  64.     - When redistributing the translated .lang file, do not include and\or
  65.       redistribute with the original Y'z Shadow archive.
  66.     - Do not restrict the re-translation and redistribution by others of the
  67.       translated .lang file.

  69.     If the above conditions are strictly observed, you may translate and
  70.     redistribute freely and do not need the author's permission.

  117.         - When the taskbar is placed on the upper part of the screen, the left end,
  118.           or the right end, the function to adjust a position automatically so that
  119.           a window does not overlap the taskbar is added (an option setup is
  120.           possible).
